CASPER, Wyo. — Evansville police say a man is facing multiple charges in Casper and Evansville after leading officers on a chase that ended with a crash and brief standoff this morning.

Police say they sought Tracy Olsen as a suspect after a North Casper resident’s window was broken and the woman inside fled in fear for her safety.

Olsen was found on 5th Street in Evansville in a silver car, police said. Police tried to stop the vehicle, but said Olsen took off west on Yellowstone Highway to Beverly Drive before getting onto Interstate 25. He exited I-25 at Poplar Street, where he tried to turn south at the street light but lost control of the car, which left the road.

Police said Olsen would not exit the vehicle and instead turned up the car’s radio when given commands. That led to a brief standoff before he was arrested and taken to the Natrona County Detention facility.

Officers from Casper and Evansville were joined by Natrona County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers in the matter.
