CASPER, Wyo. — An unidentified man reportedly entered the Paradise Valley Loaf ‘N Jug Wednesday night armed with a hatchet and made off with a few hundred dollars before officers arrived, the Casper Police Department said in a release Thursday.

Police are asking for help identifying the man pictured in the security footage stills. The suspect is still believed to be armed and dangerous.

“We would ask the community, specifically those who work with any form of public services to remain vigilant,” police said.

Casper police and Natrona County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Loaf ’N Jug at 285 Honeysuckle to the reported robbery around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15.

“It was reported an unidentified male suspect entered the store armed with a hatchet and jumped over the counter demanding money from the cash drawer,” police said. The clerk fled on foot and contacted police from a nearby apartment complex.

“Ultimately the suspect was able to access a few hundred dollars and fled before officers arrived,” the release said.

“We strongly believe someone in the community knows this person and has information that will aid in bringing safe and positive conclusion to this matter,” police added.
