CASPER, Wyo. — State and county law enforcement officials are investigating the scene of a death in a rural area around 12 miles northwest of Douglas, according to a Converse County Sheriff’s Office release Wednesday.
CCSO Undersheriff Nathan Hughes told Oil City News there are “suspicious circumstances requiring investigation.”
Deputies were called at about 6:45 a.m. to a possible death on private property along WY 93 in a rural part of the county.
Deputies arrived and confirmed there was a deceased person at the location. Deputies say the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, but there is no danger to the public stemming from the incident.
The Converse County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating the scene.
“Please do not stop or delay in the area as you pass by,” the CCSO said.
