CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office is seeking Casper Re-Entry Center escapee Austen Bagner, the agency announced Friday afternoon.
Bagner checked out of CRC on Sept. 14, telling staff that he was going out to seek employment, the release said. He failed to return by 1 p.m. and was reported as an escapee to the sheriff’s office around 4:45 p.m.Â
Bagner was originally convicted of felony possession of a controlled substance and was serving time in the facility on a probation revocation, the NCSO said.

The NCSO notes that the Casper Reentry Center is a private correctional facility operated by Geo Group. The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office does not have any operational or management control of CRC, though any crime committed there would fall under the NCSO’s jurisdiction.
