Emergency crews responded to two crashes on Wolcott Street that closed various lanes of travel for a brief period Friday morning.
According to police on scene, the first crash happened sometime before 8:00 am at the intersection of South Wolcott and East 12th Streets in Casper. The crash occurred between a white passenger vehicle and a blue mini-van. Officers released only few details, saying that one of the vehicles ran a red light and was struck by the second vehicle.
The white car was observed to have had its doors removed after the crash, and was resting with its front end against a tree.

One person was transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Another crash, a block south, near Wolcott and 13th, took place at approximately 8:20 am. According to reports from the driver on the scene, she was northbound on Wolcott, and was unable to stop due to slick roads. She said she then guided her vehicle into a traffic pole, to avoid colliding with Eastbound traffic on 13th street.
No injuries were reported in the second crash.
Recent winter weather throughout the state has left slick roads, and reports of several accidents.
