Two people are dead after a crash on US 20 south of Thermopolis.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, two teens were traveling southbound in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt just after 1 a.m. on March 19.
According to the report, the Chevrolet crossed through a guardrail and down a steep embankment before coming to a rest on the tracks below.

The driver of the car is identified as Thermopolis resident Kable Schroeder, age 17. Schroeder was wearing his seatbelt and transported to Hot Springs Memorial Hospital where he later died.
The passenger of the car is identified as Thermopolis resident Rylee Douglas, 17. Douglas was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
Speed is being investigated as a contributing factor, according to the report.
This is the 32nd and 33rd fatality on Wyoming’s highways.
