Highway crash closes I-25, no major injuries reported

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Highway Patrol has released information about a Tuesday morning crash that closed a portion of I-25, between Casper and Glenrock.

WHP reportedly received reports of the crash at approximately 8:20 am, August 20, 2019.

WHP Sergeant Jeremy Beck says that a semi truck collided with a road grader that had become stopped in the roadway.

The driver of the grader was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The driver of the semi-truck was reported to have some injuries but was not transported to the hospital.

Beck says that the Grader was headed southbound on I-25 near milepost 153, when an equipment issue caused the grader to become stopped in the roadway.

Arrangements were being made to move the grader, when it was struck by the semi.

The crash is still under investigation by the WHP.
