NCSO: Submersible being used for search; avoid Alcova near Fremont Canyon

CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office says that submersible equipment has been brought in to help search for a missing fisherman, and they’re asking residents and visitors to avoid the search area.

The search for a man began Saturday, September 7, 2019. Crews are in the water, using sonar and K9 units, and they’re asking that the public stay away from the area during the search.

According to a post made by the NCSO on social media, submersibles are now being employed in the search, and the anchoring system requires people to avoid the area.

The name of the missing fisherman has not been released. According to reports, the man was on a boat and went overboard last Saturday.

Sheriff’s officials say that that the active search for the man is ongoing.
