CASPER, Wyo. — An adult man and a 7-year-old juvenile were rescued after becoming stuck overnight, following a ground blizzard.
A statement from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office say that the two persons were reported missing at approximately 12:26 am, on October 21, 2019.
Officials say that a family member reported the two individuals missing, after the pair had gone hunting.

It was reported that the pair had stopped for a ground blizzard, when their vehicle became stuck in the area of Sand Lake Road, in Carbon County.
Deputies responded to the call, but say that the search and rescue efforts had to be postponed until daylight, and specialized equipment could navigate “knee-high drifts” in the area.
The search reconvened at approximately 7:40 am that morning. Sheriff’s Personnel responded to the area using a Snowcat, ATVs on tracks, and A Wyoming Army National Guard helicopter.
The individuals were located and transported to Saratoga Wyoming, where they were reunited with family.
Sheriff’s officials say that no medical attention was required.
