It was reported that the pair had stopped for a ground blizzard, when their vehicle became stuck in the area of Sand Lake Road, in Carbon County.

Deputies responded to the call, but say that the search and rescue efforts had to be postponed until daylight, and specialized equipment could navigate “knee-high drifts” in the area.

The search reconvened at approximately 7:40 am that morning. Sheriff’s Personnel responded to the area using a Snowcat, ATVs on tracks, and A Wyoming Army National Guard helicopter.

The individuals were located and transported to Saratoga Wyoming, where they were reunited with family.

Sheriff’s officials say that no medical attention was required.
