CASPER, Wyo. — Officials with the Casper Police Department say that a call that initially began as a welfare check, is now being investigated as a homicide.
The public is being asked to avoid the area of 12th and Conwell Streets in Casper, on Monday night, Nov. 18th as police continue to investigate an active crime scene.
Casper Police Department Public Information Officer Rebekah Ladd tells Oil City reporters that the Casper PD does not have any reason to believe that the public is under any threat or danger.

At approximately 4:00 pm, police responded to a private residence in the area for a welfare check. It was reported that a deceased female was found inside the indicated home, and that the investigation is being handled as a homicide.
Further details were not immediately made available, and the investigation is ongoing.
