One person is dead and one injured after a rollover on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol crash summary, a Ford Explorer was traveling on I-80 near Elk Mountain when the driver lost control on the icy road.
The vehicle then left the road to the right and rolled one time. The passenger “exited the vehicle and then collapsed and was deceased at the scene,” said the report.

Mario Ruiz Vite, 50, of Washington State is listed as the fatality. Roads were icy with blowing snow at the time. The report says the vehicle was traveling too fast for the road conditions, and that no seatbelt was in use.
