CASPER, Wyo. — Officials with the Wyoming Department of Corrections have confirmed that a suspicious package was received at a South Cheyenne office building, and prompted a law enforcement response.
Officials say that the Wyoming Department of Corrections Central Office building received a suspicious package in the mail on January 11, at approximately 10:30 am.
“Local law enforcement was contacted in accordance with department safety protocol. Normal operations were allowed to take place while law enforcement officials were on site,” said department officials in a written statement Wednesday. “The situation was cleared by law enforcement at approximately 3 pm. There are no further safety concerns at this time.”

WDOC says there are approximately 90 staff who work out of the Central Office building.
