Portion of I-25 still closed after Wednesday crash

CASPER, Wyo. —  Police are saying that no injuries have been reported in a crash that closed a portion of Interstate 25, through Casper, on Wednesday afternoon.

I-25 southbound from Poplar Street to Wyoming Boulevard and Evansville as well as I-25 northbound from Wyoming Boulevard to North McKinley was closed as of 1:30 pm, Wednesday Afternoon.

Police say that the closure is due to a major traffic accident involving a semi truck.

Drivers are asked to please avoid the area.

A spokesperson for the Casper Police Department says that the crash has caused multiple other crashes.

The cause of the original crash remains under investigation.
