Investigators believe that Williams was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on WY 345 at about milepost 11.25 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right, then re-entered the roadway to the left.
The crash summary says that investigators believe driver overcorrected the steering to the right, causing the vehicle to go into a driver’s side leading slide. The vehicle exited the roadway to the right, where it then struck the guardrail on the driver’s side, causing a section of the vehicle to be torn away. After the vehicle separated from the guardrail, the vehicle rolled multiple times.
