NCSO investigating body found near community of Hiland

The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office has announced an investigation into a body found in Natrona County this month, and is asking for information from the community.

According to a statement from the NCSO, the investigation has been ongoing for a week.

“On September 15, 2021, a human body was discovered near Hiland in Natrona County, Wyoming,” NCSO officials said in a brief statement Thursday. “The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office is investigating all of the circumstances surrounding this situation and further information will be released when appropriate.”

Hiland is an unincorporated Natrona County community located off U.S. Routes 20 and 26, approximately 58 miles west of Casper.

Neither the nature of the investigation or the identity of the body have been announced. NCSO says the investigation is ongoing.
