CASPER, Wyo. — A driver died and a passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, Sept. 28 on Wyoming Highway 28 near Lander, according to a preliminary crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The WHP was notified of the crash at around 6:54 p.m. Wednesday. It occurred near milepost 60 on Wyoming Highway 28.

A pickup truck heading north on the highway crossed the center line and exited the road to the left.

“The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on the wheels in the ditch,” the WHP’s preliminary crash report said.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred, the preliminary report said.

County 17 has reached out to the WHP to confirm the identity of the driver. Updates will be provided if more information becomes available.
