CASPER, Wyo. — A two-vehicle wreck in Albany County on Thursday morning has left one person dead and another injured, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred when the driver of a Toyota Rav-4, headed northbound on US-30, possibly suffered a medical episode that caused his vehicle to accelerate to a high speed.
Near mile marker 322, the Toyota hit the rear of a Dodge Ram 1500 with its front bumper area. This impact caused the Dodge to cross into the southbound travel lane and exit the roadway to the left. Once off the road, the Dodge tripped and rolled multiple times.
The driver of the Dodge was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He later passed away, the WHP reported.
The name of the deceased has not yet been confirmed by the highway patrol. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
