GILLETTE, Wyo. — A Casper man died following a head-on collision on North Highway 59 on Wednesday evening, according to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
Aaron Foster, 33, was reportedly operating a 2018 Ford Raptor F-150 on North Highway 59 when his vehicle collided head-on with a large box truck, driven by a 37-year-old man, around milepost 138 shortly before 7:36 p.m., according to Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds and Campbell County Coroner Paul Wallem.
Both vehicles reportedly had extensive front-end damage when deputies arrived on the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls, per Reynolds, who said several residents had reportedly stopped to help the drivers of the vehicles but had not witnessed the crash.
Foster reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the scene, according to Wallem, who noted that an autopsy to determine the specific cause of death is currently scheduled.
Wyoming Highway Patrol is overseeing the crash investigation and did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
