AFTON, Wyo. — A three-vehicle wreck on May 24 in Lincoln County near Afton led to the deaths of three people, and injured three more.

A Nissan pickup truck was southbound on WY 238 when the driver drifted into the northbound lane and sideswiped a Chevrolet truck, the Wyoming Highway Patrol reports. After the initial collision, the Nissan continued driving south before striking a GMC SUV head-on.

Killed in the crash were Kasandra Rogers, Kirstin Mortensen and a juvenile whose name has not been released by the WHP.

The WHP lists driver inattention as a possible cause of the accident.
