GREEN RIVER, Wyo. — A motorist died in the early morning hours Friday in Sweetwater County near Green River after failing to negotiate a turn led to his tractor trailer flipping as it careened into a ditch.
54-year-old Michigan resident Loren Brisco was driving a commercial tractor trailer westbound along Interstate 80. Near milepost 89, Brisco attempted to take an exit ramp on the right, but lost control of his vehicle while navigating a curve. As he drove into a ditch, Brisco then overcorrected to the right, causing the vehicle to flip and ultimately land on the driver’s side, according to reports from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred just after 1:20 a.m.
The WHP lists speed as a possible contributing factor in the single-vehicle wreck.
