CASPER, Wyo. — A house fire struck Casper’s Big Tree neighborhood on Friday morning.
According to Casper Police Department Sgt. Mike Ogden, Casper Fire-EMS responded to a house fire call on the 800 block of South Durbin just before 7:30 a.m. Friday. All occupants and pets were able to evacuate safely, he said.
Heavy smoke and damaged siding on the second floor were seen from the alley behind the house as crews looked for any remaining hot spots. Smoke was seen escaping from a roof vent.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the amount of damage to the house is unknown, Ogden said.
