CASPER, Wyo. — A wildland fire adjacent to the Fort Caspar Academy late Friday afternoon led to a swift response from emergency personnel, who rushed to quell the blaze.

After being dispatched at approximately 4:38 p.m., firefighters arrived on scene to find approximately an eighth of an acre of grass and natural vegetation on fire to the east of the school. They utilized all-terrain brush trucks to stop the fire from spreading further.

Crews were assisted on scene by officers with the Casper Police Department, deputies with the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office and telecommunicators with the Public Safety Communications Center.
