Residents of an upper-floor downtown apartment got a visit from a real night owl, during the morning hours of April 20th.
A downtown resident and restaurant owner, Jacquie Anderson, woke to find the feathered caller outside her window, on the 100 block of East 1st Street, in the heart of downtown Casper. The bird-of-prey even had a close encounter with Anderson’s young feline, Sophie, albeit through a pane of glass.
Despite the noise of construction from across the street, the owl seemed to be content on the ledge. After posing for a single picture with Oil City reporters, the bird simply swiveled its head, closed its eyes, and started in for a late morning snooze.
