CASPER, Wyo. – Native American athletes from around the region have gathered in Casper this weekend for the Horse Nations Indian Relay Council’s Indian Relay Races at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds.

During the event, riders hop on horses that run full throttle around the track before stopping and mounting another horse for another run. The horses are bareback, by the way.

The championship run takes place today (Sunday, Sept. 20) starting at 2 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. See the Council’s Facebook page for additional information.
