CASPER, Wyo. – The Natrona County High School Fillies’ hopes for a state championship were dashed after they narrowly lost to Sheridan during quarterfinals at the 2021 Wyoming State High School Basketball Championships on Friday at the Ford Wyoming Center.

Both teams kept the score close during much of the game, and were tied with just over one minute left in the 4th quarter before Sheridan moved ahead.

The final score was 53 – 51 with Sheridan taking the win. They’ll play Cody later today at 6 p.m. in the semifinals. NCHS will compete against Thunder Basin in consolation semifinals at 9 a.m. at KWHS on Saturday.
