CASPER, Wyo. – A close-knit group of high school seniors gathered in an empty classroom for the last time shortly before graduation ceremonies on Friday afternoon at Midwest High School.

Helping each other fix and straighten their gowns and hats, the 11 graduates took a short walk through the hall and into the gym, where cheers and tears awaited them from friends and family.

The ceremony was back in its traditional setting on Friday after taking place on the football field last year due to the pandemic.

Midwest’s graduation is the third of four over yesterday and today for Natrona County schools. Roosevelt and NCHS held theirs at the Ford Wyoming Center on Thursday, and KWHS will round out the season later Friday evening, also at the Ford Wyoming Center.
