CASPER, Wyo. – After a break during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, an annual summer tradition filled Casper’s downtown sidewalks and streets.

Hundreds of people lined up for the 2021 Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo Parade on Tuesday.

“We’re glad to report we had no major incidents occur,” the Casper Police Department said on social media. “A huge thank you to all of the different agencies and organizations who came together to make this event successful and safe for everyone.”

The American Legion’s float re-enacting the iconic memorial of U.S. Marines raising a flag on the island of Iwo Jima during World War II earned them the honor of “Grand Champion”.

Other winners can be found here.

The fair and rodeo will continue through Saturday at the fairgrounds.
