President Donald Trump endorsed John Barrasso today in the election to the US Senate.

In the tweet Tuesday, Trump wrote:

“.@SenJohnBarrasso has a Primary on August 21st. He doesn’t need any help because he is absolutely outstanding in every way, but I hope the great people of Wyoming will go out and show their support anyway. John is absolutely top of the line & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!”

Barrasso answered that he appreciated the President’s support.

“Working alongside the President we have cut taxes and slashed punishing regulations that targeted Wyoming jobs,” Barrasso said. “I appreciate the President’s support and look forward to the important work ahead to confirm another constitutional conservative to the U.S. Supreme Court and achieve even more results for hard working Wyoming families.”

Barrasso is the incumbent Junior Senator from Wyoming, he is seeking his second full term in office. He’s opposed by Roque De La Fuente, David Dodson, Charlie Hardy, John Holtz, and Anthony Van Risseghem for the seat.

The Primary Election is being held on August 21, 2018.

The General Election is scheduled for November 6, 2018.
