A video featuring dozens of Casper community members thanking officers Jacob Carlson and Randi Garrett for their service was played during last night’s event at David Street Station.
The event honored the two officers for their actions during a shootout in May in which officer Carlson was nearly killed after being shot several times. The two officers were awarded medals of valor, and Carlson received a Purple Heart.
