Rock Springs Police arrest man after chase and crash

The Rock Springs Police Department says that they’ve arrested one suspect on multiple recommended charges, following a vehicle chase that ended in a crash.

According to a written statement by Rock Springs P.D., on Monday November 5th, approximately 11:21 pm, officers were dispatched to the scene of a stolen vehicle.

While en route, police report that the suspsect vehicle was spotted heading towards an I-80 on ramp. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop the suspect attempted to elude officers which resulted in him crashing the vehicle.

The suspect then reportedly then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect, identified as Trevor Hess, age 30, was located and arrested for Felony Theft, Hit and Run, Eluding, Interference, and No Driver’s License.

Hess was said to be the only occupant of the vehicle.

The case remains under investigation.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
