CPD Seeking information on child abduction suspect

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department has released information on a child abduction investigation.

Casper Police officials are saying that police are searching for a vehicle involved in a child abduction.

The child involved in the abduction has been recovered.

Between 10:00 am and 11:00 am this morning, a child abduction occurred in the area of Southwest Wyoming Boulevard’s intersection of South Coffman Avenue and South Poplar Street in Casper.

Surveillance cameras in the area identified the vehicle involved as a possible dark colored 1999-2003 four-door GMC short bed truck with a toolbox, with a possible chrome trim piece down the side, and a dark colored interior.

The truck bed also appears to be filled with possible construction debris.

The suspect is described to be a Caucasian male of a medium build with brown hair.

The suspect was also wearing a black hat, shirt, and pants.

The Casper Police Department is asking the public to contact us if you have a surveillance camera on your car, home or business in that area, with special attention to West 39th Street, South Coffman Street, and South Poplar Street.
