CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department opened in 1954.
At the time, it had only two divisions. The department now has six divisions.
To celebrate their 65th anniversary, the health department is hosting an open house.

“The celebration is Thursday September 12th at the Casper-Natrona County Health Department from 4pm – 6:30pm,” the health department says. “This event is free and the public is encouraged to come by and celebrate this milestone.”
“The Department will have free food, a photo booth, a ribbon cutting ceremony, giveaways, tours, and more.”
The six divisions at the health department are as follows:
- environmental health
- adult health
- maternal and child health
- sexual health and immunizations
- HIV services
- prevention and emergency preparedness
Various services are available to all ages at the health department. They’re encouraging people to attend the open house to learn more.
“’We hope the community can come out and celebrate this big milestone with us,'” said Hailey Rodgers, Community Prevention Manager at the Casper-Natrona County Health Department. ‘”It truly is because of our community that the Casper-Natrona County Health Department has been so successful and we want to thank them.'”
“‘Even if you have never used our services or been a patient, please come by and see what we provide to Casper and Natrona County. This is really just the beginning, we are here for the long haul.’”
