Precipitation and cooler temperatures on Sunday helped limit growth of the fire. The update adds that further precipitation forecast should keep fire activity to a minimum.
“Rocky Mountain Incident Management Blue Team will transition command back to the local fire resources with the Shoshone National Forest,” the update adds. “The new team will assume command today at 6:00 pm.”
“All future Stink Water Fire updates will come from the Shoshone National Forest. Please go to www.fs.usda.gov/shoshone or call 307.250.0148 for updated maps and information. Forest area closures are still in place around the Stink Water fire.”
