‘Dracula’ opening in time for Halloween in Casper

(Stage III Community Theatre, Facebook)

CASPER, Wyo. — Stage III Community Theatre’s staging of “Dracula” is coming in time for Halloween.

The first performance is scheduled for 7:30 pm Friday, Oct. 18.

“Stage III is doing spooky season right by bringing you the original stage production of Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s novel,” the theatre announced on Facebook. “This timeless classic is sure to make your skin crawl.”

Stage III provides this description of the play:

Lucy Seward, whose father is the doctor in charge of an English sanitorium, has been attacked by some mysterious illness. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims. The vampire is at last found to be a certain Count Dracula, whose ghost is finally laid to rest in a striking novel manner. The play is intended for all who love thrills in the theater.
