CASPER, Wyo. — Two new sculptures will be added to the interior of the University of Wyoming’s Science Initiative Building.
“Ben Butler from Memphis, Tenn. has been selected to create two site-specific works,” the Wyoming Arts Council announced on Friday, Oct. 4.
The arts council has shared Butler’s rendering of “Cloud Morphology” and add that the second sculpture will be called “Connectome.”
That will be a “wall installation that will span multiple levels.”
“Butler will work with faculty, staff, and students to gather data points and information about their research and projects to create two abstract sculptures,” the release adds. “Both pieces will be built from hundreds of wood pieces, which will complement the architecture and design elements of the building.”
