911 still operational; Law enforcement/fire Admin and non-emergency lines down in Natrona Co

UPDATE 6:40 pm -The Casper PD sends the following statement: “Century Link has fixed the issue. All lines are back up and working.”

UPDATE, 5:40 pm- The Casper PD sends the following statement: “5:30pm – Most calls to the administrative/non-emergency lines are getting through. However we do not have a confirmed fix yet from Century Link. If someone calls and cannot get through, please call 911.

CASPER, Wyo. — Administrative lines for Law Enforcement and Fire are down in Natrona County, however 911 is still operational, according to a Sunday release.

According to Casper PD, all administrative and non-emergency lines for Natrona County law enforcement and fire services managed by the Natrona County Public Safety Communications Center are currently down.

“Community members are asked to call 911 if they have an emergency. If you do not have an emergency and are able to wait,” The Casper PD statement said. “We ask that you refrain from calling until the administrative and non-emergency lines are back available.”

This issue was reported at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 3rd.

Century Link is actively working to fix this issue.

Emergency Medical Service administrative lines are not being affected.

The following agencies’ administrative and non-emergency lines are being affected:

  • Casper Police Department
  • Casper Fire Department
  • Natrona County Sheriff’s Office
  • Mills Police Department
  • Evansville Police Department
  • Natrona County Fire District
  • Mills Fire Department
  • Bar Nunn Fire
  • Evansville Fire
  • Salt Creek Emergency Services
  • Airport Fire and Rescue
  • Casper Mountain Fire Department
