CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department have only 160 flu vaccines remaining after a busy start to the season.
Disease Prevention Clinic Manager Hilary Cage told the health department’s board of directors on Thursday, Nov. 21 that about 1,500 vaccines have been administered this season.
That includes about 1,000 vaccines administered at 13 off-site clinic events the health department has put on around Casper.

The remaining 500 vaccines were administered in-house.
“People were more pro-active [about coming to the clinic for vaccines],” said Executive Director Anna Kinder. “There will be times that the waiting room is full.”
The board also discussed how influenza is impacting other parts of the country, saying that a five year old boy in Texas died from the flu earlier this year and that the southern United States has been hit early and hard with cases of the flu this year.
