CASPER, Wyo. – Light snow and likely slick roads are in store for the morning commute on Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
The NWS says snow will likely taper off by 2 p.m., with just a half an inch possible.
Winds will kick up as the sun shines later in the afternoon, with gusts up to 38 mph and a high temperature of 37 degrees.

There’s a slight chance of snow or rain on Friday afternoon.
A winter storm is making travel difficult north of Casper.
Interstate 90 between between Buffalo and Sheridan is closed in areas, and there’s a no unnecessary travel warning on Interstate 25 around the Buffalo area, according to WYDOT.
On the southern end of the state, high winds have closed Interstate 80 to light and high profile vehicles between Elk Mountain and Cheyenne, according to WYDOT.
