CASPER, Wyo — The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued flash flood warnings for mainly rural areas of west central Sublette County, Excessive rainfall will result in debris flow moving through the Roosevelt burn scar area, according to NWS.
Debris flows can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low-lying spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent, according to NWS, which advised people to be aware of their location relative to streams, rivers, or creeks. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
