Officials say that at approximately 1:00 am July 5, Wyoming Game and Fish Personnel found the damage when they were attempting to leave the Marina area, and one of the WYG&F vehicles instantly lost oil pressure. It was discovered, later that morning, that a second patrol vehicle that had been parked nearby the first, had a filter that was loose and leaking.
Later on July 5, WYG&F reported attempting to launch their boat from the Alcova Marina, but found that the drain plug from the bottom of the boat had been removed.
NCSO says that the missing drain plug was discovered in sufficient time that the WYG&F boat did not sink.
No suspect information was released by NCSO Monday morning.
Officials are asking anyone with information about the oil filters from the WYG&F vehicles, or the removal of the drain plug from the WYG&F boat, to call the NCSO at (307) 235-9282.
