CASPER, Wyo— Winter storm advisories will create dangerous mountain travel in southeast Wyoming through at least 5:00 am Sunday morning, said the National Weather Service (NWS) in Cheyenne.
3 to 6 inches of additional snow accumulations in the Snowy and Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges are expected.
“Icy, snow packed roads and significantly reduced visibilities in falling and blowing snow,” are advised, especially along the Arlington/Elk Mountain portion of Interstate 80 corridor.

The western portion of I-80 in Sweetwater county and US Highway 30 are also advised of reduced visibility due to blowing snow continuing into the evening.
