CASPER, Wyo. —  The David Street Station outdoor facility has announced via social media that a building at the station has been tagged with spray paint graffiti.

The announcement was made Tuesday on the David Street Station Facebook. The vandalism follows fundraising efforts by David Street Station to maintain the location and host events that take place there on an annual basis.

“We are saddened to see vandalism done to this beautiful facility,” David Street Station wrote May 4, 2021. “After receiving an immense amount of support through volunteers and donations last week during our campaign, we went into this week feeling grateful for the community that stands behind us.”

David Street Station went on to point out that they are privately funded, and that clean up and recovery from things like vandalism can take away from money used for operations.

“It is not something to take lightly. Therefore, we have filed a police report, and have turned over video footage from our cameras that shows this vandalism taking place,” David Street Station officials said. “If you or someone you know has any details about this occurrence, we ask that you please come forward.”

Persons with information can call the Casper Police Department at 307-235-8578.
