All the proceeds from this event go to Hunting With Heroes Wyoming. They are a nonprofit organization that sends disabled veterans on hunting trips. Their mission is “to give back to our nations disabled veterans by honoring them with unique hunting, fishing and other outdoor experiences.” The organization was founded by two a U.S. Army veterans: Dan Currah and Colton Sasser. Sasser was wounded in action in Afghanistan in 2012. A year after Sasser’s return, they started Hunting With Heroes to help with soldiers that were in the processes of rehabilitation.

The organization seeks to build veterans up both mentally and physically, giving them support and allowing them to find a shared camaraderie. Through working with the many state agencies, land owners, and volunteers, they are able to fully fund hunting trips for disabled veterans throughout Wyoming. When they started in 2013, they had only 9 hunters and today they have 2,000.

Last year, Dave Wilson had the idea to start a car show. Liann Russell was able to turn it into a fundraising event and set up the whole thing in less then two weeks. Despite the short amount of time they were still able to raise over $10,000 for Hunting With Heroes. This year their goal is to make $20,000. The Hideaway Bar is estimating that anywhere between 120 to 240 cars and motorcycles to be present, a significantly increase from their last event.

The city of Mills will be bursting with classic, old, and reconstructed motor vehicles all for a good cause. You can join them at anytime on Saturday to see the cars and participate in the raffles!
