Two injured after dump truck and pickup collide in Sheridan intersection

CASPER, Wyo. — Two drivers were transported to Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County on Thursday after a dump truck and a pickup collided at an intersection, according to a Sheridan Fire-Rescue social media post.

Police and emergency crews arrived at the intersection of West 5th Street and Arlington Boulevard at 2:06 p.m. to find a dump truck had collided with a Toyota Tacoma.

The crash left the lone occupant of the Tacoma trapped, and crews used the Hurst Extrication tools to gain access. The patient was transported for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was also transported by WREMS with non-life-threatening injuries for evaluation. 

All agencies cleared the scene at 3:38 p.m. and the cause of the crash is now under police investigation.
