CASPER, Wyo. — Natrona County Fire-EMS and Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning to an accident with injury involving heavy equipment south of Alcova, according to an updated press release from both agencies.
The accident occurred in the area of the Fremont Canyon Power Plant off of Kortes Road.
Upon arrival, responders entered the canyon and found one individual who was deceased.
Investigators remain on scene, and the area will remain occupied for an extended period of time as recovery operations continue.
The Natrona County Coroner’s Office will notify next of kin and release additional information at an appropriate time.
The Natrona County Fire District and the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends impacted by the incident.
