A proctor at the Casper College Testing Center provides assistance to the Testing Center Coordinator and Testing Specialist in testing center operations. This position requires the ability to uphold the secure testing environment and the confidentiality, integrity, and security for all testing.

Essential Duties:
Actively proctors test administrations for Casper College students.
When qualified, actively proctors test administrations for community members meeting licensing, certification or other goals.
Diligently conducts pre-testing procedures.
Assures that standards and procedures are maintained for all test types in accordance with the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Assists with opening and closing procedures for the testing center.
Accepts and processes requests for testing appointments.
Maintains confidentiality of information and records; adheres to college, FERPA and other applicable regulations; have access to highly confidential records.
Assists with the annual TC satisfaction survey.
Assists with inventory of supplies.
Attends training as needed to support testing activities.
Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
A typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Work is usually performed during the normal work week. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions.

Physical Demands:
Employee must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computers, feel, and reach with hands and arms.  Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required. Less frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (office supplies, paper boxes, etc…).

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in any field
Knowledge of:Excellent customer service practices and etiquette
Basic computer skills
Office equipment such as printers, photocopier, time stamp machine, telephone system, and camera surveillance system
Word processing, database, and other related software applications
Microsoft Office products and internet search engines
Ability to: Consistently exercise good judgment with minimal supervision
Successfully handle contentious situations
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing, including accuracy and attention to detail
Multitask when required
Work in a quiet environment
Be flexible and adapt to changing demands of the job or unusual circumstances
Operate and troubleshoot PC and a variety of related software applications
Effectively organize and prioritize assigned work
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other people

Desired Qualifications:
Work experience in teaching, training, or testing
