The Manager of Masterson Place works to provide consistently high quality service for guests and customers of Masterson Place, the WMC Foundation’s hospitality house. The Manager facilitates continuous improvement in service delivery, individually as well as through leadership, delegation, and cooperation. The Manager is responsible for overall day-to-day operations and will utilize Foundation resources in an efficient, cost-conscious manner to accomplish organizational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position oversees the operations and staffing of Masterson Place including contracted services.
Manages all day to day operations of Masterson Place including reservations, check-in and check-out.
Oversees safety and cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
Is responsible for adhering to current policies and procedures and developing and updating as needed.
Develops and utilizes systems to cost compare all supplies to minimize operational spending.
Utilizes reservation software and other programs in daily duties.
Coordinates meetings, contracts and programs with vendors, staff of WMC and WMC Foundation and volunteers.

Identifies, communicates and ensures maintenance and improvements for the facility.
Develops and maintains relationships with local and statewide businesses, service groups, organizations, and individuals that will result in an increase of rented room nights and funding.
Manage reservations, answer phones, provides excellent service to guests and customers.
Skill and desire to organize and maintain a clean and professional work space and guest areas.
Ability to provide empathy and understanding to people experiencing health care challenges.
The employee shall comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders which are applicable to the individual’s own position, actions, and conduct.
Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Masterson Place, the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation’s hospitality home, grew from the vision of Mary Masterson, a longtime Casper resident. It is an affordable place to stay while in Casper for medical treatment. Formerly located at 2325 E. Yellowstone Highway in Casper, Masterson Place serves thousands of patients and families every year with both short- and long-term accommodations. Often referred to as “a home away from home,” our new facility truly focuses on the patient. The two-story structure located across the street from the hospital will be ADA compliant and have an elevator. There will be 14 rooms, each with a refrigerator and microwave, with phones connected to the hospital system. The lobby will have a two-sided fireplace and a Community Room with a refrigerator, oven and room for the Angels Cancer Care Program to host monthly dinners for the guests.

Required:Associates or better in Hospitality and Resort Management or related field.

Preferred:Bachelors or better.
