CASPER, Wyo. — At its meeting on Sept. 19, the Casper City Council approved a resolution authorizing the purchase of 10 outer carriers and ballistic plates for the Casper Police Department’s Special Response Team.
The gear will be procured from Warrior Kit, Safety and Survival Gear for a total of $47,250, according to a memo prepared for the City Council.
The move to upgrade the equipment comes as the current gear has outlived its lifespan and lost its manufacturer’s warranty. This investment ensures that every SRT member is equipped with the latest outer carriers, attachments and ballistic plates.
