An inmate in a California prison confessed to beating two convicted child molesters to death.
According to the Mercury News, Jonathan Watson wrote the newspaper a letter publicly confessing to beating the two fellow inmates to death with a cane last month at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, in Corcoran.
Watson, 41, wrote that he asked a counselor to be moved from the prison hours before attacking the men, warning of violent urges he was feeling.

Both of the men Watson attacked were serving life sentences for aggravated sexual assault involving children under age 14, said the newspaper.
Watson is serving a life sentence for a 2009 murder conviction.
Watson wrote that he was angered after “a child molester” was moved into his pod and began watching PBS Kids programming in full view of other inmates.
The following day, Watson asked to be moved “before I really (expletive) one of these dudes up,” but nothing was done.
Hours later, Watson beat the man who was watching children’s programming to death. When no guards responded after the killing, Watson then targeted what he described as “a known child trafficker” and beat him.
He then found a guard to turn himself in, said the article.
“Being a lifer, I’m in a unique position where I sometimes have access to these people and I have so little to lose,” Watson wrote in his letter to the newspaper.
