The search for Gannon Stauch has been suspended, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The office announced the development on social media today, adding that “teams remain available as investigative leads direct search efforts.”
No reason was given for the announcement.

Stauch, 11, was last seen leaving the home of his stepmother in a Colorado Springs suburb on January 27. He reportedly was walking to visit a friend’s house in the neighborhood.
According to local TV station Fox 21 News, the investigation so far has not been called “criminal” and no suspects have been named.
KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs reports that the sheriff’s office said they’ve conducted over 7,000 hours of investigative work along with the FBI.
As of Tuesday this week, the department says they’ve received 637 tips in the case.
